DPS Airport Transfer Prices 2026

These are our standard fixed prices for private airport transfers from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) to the most popular tourist areas in Bali. Prices are per vehicle (not per person) and include meet and greet, luggage assistance, cold water, child seats on request, and all road and parking fees.

Prices reflect a standard SUV (Toyota Innova or similar) seating up to 6 passengers with luggage. Larger groups in a minivan or minibus add roughly $5-10 per transfer. There is no late-night surcharge, no airport parking fee, and no booking fee — the price you confirm via WhatsApp is the price you pay your driver.

Drive times assume normal traffic. South Bali traffic between 5 PM and 8 PM can extend any of these journeys by 20-40 minutes, especially routes through Canggu and Seminyak. Ubud transfers via the Bypass road are usually predictable; the bottleneck is approaching central Ubud at peak hours.

Complimentary cold water. Two bottles of cold mineral water per passenger are placed in the vehicle before pickup. After hours in dry aircraft air, this is a small but appreciated touch.

Free child seats. We provide rear-facing baby seats for infants and booster seats for toddlers at no extra cost. Tell us the child's age and weight when booking so the correct seat is installed before your arrival.

Real-time flight monitoring. We track your flight number from departure. If your flight is two hours late, your driver still arrives at the right time. If your flight lands early, your driver is already there. You never need to call us about delays.

Bali Denpasar Airport (DPS) Practical Guide

Ngurah Rai International Airport (IATA code: DPS) sits in Tuban, on the southern peninsula of Bali, just a few minutes from Kuta. It is Indonesia's second-busiest airport after Jakarta. The terminal building separates international arrivals on the upper level from domestic arrivals at the side — your driver will know which one to wait at based on your flight number.

Visa on arrival. Most nationalities (US, UK, EU, Australia, Singapore, etc.) can buy a 30-day Visa on Arrival (VOA) for 500,000 IDR (about $33 USD), payable in cash or card at the immigration counter. Bring exact change in IDR or a card if possible — the cash counter sometimes runs out of small notes. Immigration queue. Plan for 30-90 minutes depending on the time of day. Two large flights landing simultaneously can stretch this to 2 hours. The queue is air-conditioned but there are limited seats — wear comfortable shoes.

Baggage claim. After immigration, baggage usually arrives within 15-25 minutes. Bali baggage handling is faster than Jakarta but slower than Singapore.

ATMs and money exchange. There are several ATMs in the arrivals hall — Mandiri, BNI, BCA work with most international cards. Withdraw 1,000,000-2,000,000 IDR for your first day rather than queuing for currency exchange in the airport (rates inside the terminal are typically poor). Authorised money changers (PT Central Kuta, BMC) outside the airport offer significantly better rates.

SIM cards. Telkomsel and XL kiosks operate in the arrivals hall. Expect to pay 150,000-300,000 IDR for a tourist SIM with 20-50 GB of data. eSIM travellers can skip this entirely.

Where your driver waits. Exit the arrivals hall and turn left or right depending on terminal — drivers stand in a line opposite the doors holding signs. There is no separate "private hire" area; everyone meets in the same general zone. Your driver knows your face from your booking only loosely, so the name sign is what matters.

How the Booking Works

Booking an airport transfer with Ohana takes five minutes via WhatsApp. Here is what we need from you and what happens next.

What you send us: your flight number, arrival date, arrival time, number of passengers, number of bags, hotel or villa name and address, language preference (English, French, Mandarin), and any special requests (baby seat, surfboard, late check-in, dietary stop on the way, etc.).

What we send you: a price confirmation in USD and IDR, payment method options, and within 24 hours of your arrival, your driver's name, photo, vehicle make and licence plate, and direct mobile number.

On arrival day. We track your flight from departure. Once it lands, your driver leaves the holding area and positions himself in the arrivals hall with your name sign. Average wait time after you exit customs to find your driver is under five minutes.

Payment. Most travellers pay the driver in cash on arrival — USD or IDR are both accepted. If you prefer to pay before arrival, we provide bank transfer or Wise details. There is no booking fee, no card surcharge, and no deposit required for standard transfers.

We recommend booking 24-48 hours before arrival so we can secure a multilingual driver if you need one. Same-day bookings are usually possible but we cannot guarantee French or Mandarin speakers without notice.

Late Night and Early Morning Transfers

Bali receives a steady stream of late-night arrivals from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, and Dubai, plus early-morning departures to Australia and Asia. Our airport transfer service operates 24/7 with no late-night surcharge.

A 1 AM arrival from Doha is priced identically to a 1 PM arrival from Singapore. Your driver shows up just as alert and professional, with the same name sign, the same cold water, and the same fixed price. The only practical difference at night is that traffic between DPS and most south Bali destinations is much faster — a transfer that takes 45 minutes at 6 PM takes 20 minutes at 1 AM.

For early-morning departures (the famous "Bali to Sydney 6 AM Jetstar"), we recommend pickup from your hotel three hours before takeoff, or three and a half hours if you are travelling from Ubud or Uluwatu. Roads are empty before 5 AM but airport check-in queues for international flights still build up.

Return Airport Transfer (Departure Pickup)

Most of our airport transfer customers also book the return trip — pickup from their accommodation back to DPS for departure. The pricing is identical to the arrival direction.

Timing matters more for the return trip than the arrival. Bali traffic is genuinely unpredictable, especially:

• South Bali rush hour (5 PM-8 PM): Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta routes can take 60-90 minutes instead of 30-45.
• Sunday evenings: Locals returning from weekend trips clog the Bypass.
• Galungan and other temple festivals: Some roads close for processions.
• Heavy rain in November-March: Adds 20-40% to most journey times.

We recommend the following pickup buffers for international departures:

• From Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua: leave hotel 3 hours before flight time
• From Canggu, Uluwatu, Tanah Lot: leave hotel 3.5 hours before flight time
• From Ubud or central Bali: leave hotel 4 hours before flight time
• From Sidemen, Amed, Lovina, north or east Bali: leave hotel 5+ hours before flight time

For domestic flights to Jakarta or Lombok, subtract one hour from each. We confirm your exact pickup time the day before your departure based on traffic forecasts and any festivals or roadworks in effect.
